I take a look around observing my surroundings, then get a funny feeling down deep up in my stomach. I drive a few more miles tryin to get my bearings straight, then realized I was lost and thought “Oh shit I’m out of state.” I felt a little manic but there was no need to panic, I just had to pull out my trusty road map. Searching for a location I hear a scratch at my door, I thought nothing of it so I just ignored. A few seconds later the scratch was-a-back, this time with the fury of something small and furry.

I had just got a paint job and didn’t want no scratches, so I got out of the car to beat on my little pest. I walked around the car to look for this little varmint, but the little bastard was no where to be found. Reaching for my car door I quickly glanced up, to see that I was staring at the devil squirrel himself. Based on expertise, I made no sudden movement; I wanted no confrontation with this beastly little hunter. The squirrel began to turn and I knew this was my moment. Attempting to open my door, the damage has not been done. Devil squirrel turned his head with a smirk on his face, sat back on his hind legs, and lept from the roof of my car.

Thankfully I was hyped up on caffeine and my reflexes were top notch. I dodged the face attack and turned quickly to prepare for the next. The furry demon circled with caution, eying what every squirrel prizes…a nice tasty nut to stow away. With my back to the car I waited to make my move; Satan’s squirrel child made the jump and I caught him in mid-air. I hurled him over the road and jumped into my car like a frantic toad.

Forget about the map, I’m tired of this crap, so I started up the car and gave the pedal a tap. Slide slide slippity slide, my car ran down the road at a steady glide. I glanced in my rear-view looking at a clear view expecting the flaming fury, but to my surprise he simply sat there waiting. Waiting for that innocent prick to feel the wrath of Devil squirrel once again.

Back to civilization, I feel a bit revived. You never know what can happen when you go for a ride, so be sure that you take everything in stride.
